There are a lot of websites in the internet which provides a lot of free stuff to the visitors. They provide this free stuff for both digital products like eBooks as well as the other form of physical product which could be delivered at your doorstep. Many of these would ask for a registration for availing the free samples. In few cases they could charge a little bit for the registration and in many other cases it will be free. In the registration form you would be asked to provide all your details out of which your email address would be a compulsory field. This website would claim that they will send the free samples of the free stuff by mail and hence they will ask you to provide your email id.
You should not trust these websites and from the moment you have provided your email address to these people you will start getting so many email from them promoting any of the products. In most of the cases these emails would be a spam which is very dangerous to your computer, which could even completely destroy your pc. It is always better not to open any email from an unknown sender to avoid these kinds of problems and the most optimum way would be not to provide your email to any of the free stuff websites.
