Social Media And Artist Marketing

December 31st, 2009 No comments

These days, one thing that is for sure is that next level of communication and mode of keeping in touch is going to be the social media websites – mostly social networking ones besides blogs, personal pages etc. Thankfully, this mode provides a huge platform for a lot of artists who still are trying to figure out the holy grail of artist marketing because, as you might know, there is not better way to keep your art alive and kicking without proper marketing. With the advent of social media technology, now it is possible for you to put your brand or art out there in front of millions of people simply by joining these sites and making friends. Now, this does not mean you have be a member of all the sites – that would be impossible, to say the least – but the fact that you can use these sites and market your work of art is quite a killer idea. You can see a lot of documentary photography being displayed on a lot of sites. The artists, thus, get a lot of exposure and thus make a living literally out of these sales. Besides, since the cost of setting up such sites is often zero, whatever you get can be considered as profit!
